Whether your funding needs are short or long term, the SF SBDC's experienced team of fiscal specialists guide you through the maze of financial programs and options to direct your business to the right type of financing: commercial, private, or government guaranteed.

Our no-charge services include reviewing/preparing your financial statements, packaging your loan for optimal results, and assistance getting your application to the appropriate lender.
 
Micro-Loan Programs

Provide short-term loans to $35,000 to start-ups and existing small businesses for working capital and the purchase of equipment (not to be applied to existing debt.)

7 (a) Loan Guaranty

The SBA's primary business loan guarantee program, up to $750,000, may be used for start-ups, expansion, equipment purchases, working capital, and inventory.


Venture/Debt/Equity

These specialized funding needs are determined by SBDC consultants who work to bring your small business together with the appropriate investment syndicate, group, or corporation.

 Community Development:
Micro-Enterprise Loan
  Provides loans up to $25,000 for San Franciscans to start or expand a business with five or fewer employees.
 
Small Business Loan Program
  Provides loans up to $100,000 to San Francisco business to create full-time employment for lower-income San Francisco residents.
 
Section 108 Loan Program
  Provides loans in excess of $100,000 to businesses supporting specific economic initiatives of The City: neighborhood revitalization, and/or job creation.
